Abstract |
The ACMI is an advanced and useful tool for aerial combat training and analysis of its results. This paper presents a method that can be used effectively to test and evaluate the ground system which is one of the most critical subsystems of the ACMI. This algorithm presents two algorithms that use a small scale UAV instead of a full scale aircraft(FSA) to test the ACMI ground system. The simpler method calculates states of the FSA using states of a flying small scale aircraft(SSA) using proper scaling algorithm. The second method is to use a simulated trajectory of the FSA as guidance command of the SSA. The states of the FSA are estimated using the measured states of the SSA which has model following feature. These algorithms are validated with a spiral climb and sinusoidal roll maneuver simulation using aircraft model with point mass and the six DOF(Degree-offreedom) simulation with model following controller. The algorithm with model following controller from this study saves time and expense to evaluate of ACMI ground system. |
